Lexington Lettering, LLC | Calligraphy + Design

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of my most frequently asked questions regarding my products and services.

Do you teach workshops?

Yes! I teach approximately one workshop a month. I announce my workshops via my email list (so make sure you subscribe) and Facebook page. I typically do not travel for my workshops, but will potentially travel approximately one hour away from Lexington.

Do you offer wholesale price on your products?

Yes, I do! Depending on the item, the wholesale discount can range anywhere from 20% off to 50% off.

Are your city prints customizable?

Unfortunately, no. If you would like a custom city print, you must purchase the “Custom” option. City prints are researched thoroughly and take a lot of time, so to “just change one or two things” isn’t feasible for the price.

What are your favorite pens for beginners just starting their calligraphy adventure?

I LOVE Tombow Fudenosuke hard tip brush pen. I also like the Tombow Dual Brush Pen, which is a much larger brush that the Fudenosuke, but it has a bullet tip on the other side, which is great for faux calligraphy. But, ya girl started with a sharpie. You don’t know the fancy stuff to get started! Sometimes just a pencil, pen, or sharpie will do just the trick!

Did you study art or graphic design?

I did not. I taught myself calligraphy as a wave to save money for my wedding. My degrees are B.S. Exercise Science and M.S. Kinesiology and Health Promotion. No formal art since elementary school, unfortunately. I have always been a bit of a computer nerd, who played typing tutorial games instead of Oregon trail.

Do you have a storefront?

Not yet ;). It is a HUGE goal of mine to eventually have a cute little gift shop here in Lexington!
